This is a digital painting, I did on 26th Oct 2008, after getting crazy with the newly purchased pen tablet. I painted this by referring a photograph taken by my brother. Its a common ‘bee eater’. I tried to match the painting as close to the photograph and I think I managed it almost. This was my first ever attempt to try a pen tablet and I really enjoyed it very much. It took me at least 4 to 5 hours to finish the painting.
This is a sketch that I probably made in 1994 or 95.
Here is one of the sketches having trees rendered with ‘rotring’ technical pen. This -typically called ‘inking’- was done in Sept’ 97, when I was learning at my Architectural draughtsmanship collage. This kind of work gives lot of fun and pleasure, even though it takes hours to finish.
Some part in water colours and some in colour pencils. I am not sure when I painted this vintage car, but must be before 1995. There is one more old sketch of two vintage cars like this, that I will retouch and post later. I am doing all retouching, recolouring in Linux- Gimp. There is also another good photo editing software called Krita (from KDE suit), which I am exploring now in Linux. See All artworks
Found some more old sketches. The original old paper is completely faded out and has become yellow. I have colour-corrected the sketches and posting them now! See the ‘Artworks’ category for all of my sketches and paintings. Please be sure to give your comments too! Continue reading
